The Jeune Ballet universitaire de Strasbourg (JBuS)

The association of the Jeune Ballet universitaire de Strasbourg (JBuS) shines a light on performing arts and dance. The JBuS carries out multidisciplinary artistic projects of excellence. Student dancers , as well as community managers, video makers, photographs, graphic designers, scenographers, costume designers or even stage managers will be able to benefit from a rich and strong experience during their studies.

They talk about us:

“I would recommend the JBUS to all those who want to have a professional experience that is a bit different from the university setting. Both for the dancers, because it is a great experience for the creation, the interpretation and the involvement in the “artistic” part of the project, but also for all those who want to discover the “administrative” aspect to make the project happen. It is a very enriching experience.”

Tayna, Community manager 2021-2022

“The work of the JBuS is really awesome! It’s great to have such a thing here in Strasbourg and that they share it with us! I follow them from afar on social medias but it’s always a pleasure to see their posts and who knows, maybe I will join them one day!”

Perinne, degree in applied foreign language

“Being passionate about dance, I joined the JBuS. Within six months, we transcribed a one-hour creation by Florentin Poulain called Kontakt On – Les Rendez-vous manqués. I was able to learn to listen to others and myself. I was also able to improve my contemporary technique and meet some very nice people.”

Lysiane Dancer 2020-2021

“What I enjoy at the JBuS is the variety of backgrounds from all the student members. There are not only dancers from the double degree or choreographic studies.”
